Privacy Notice
This notice covers personal information collected by forkcast.com.au, operated by Mike Drops Pty Ltd (ABN 84 691 269 182), trading as Forkcast, Sydney, Australia.
We design standout websites for hospitality venues and small businesses to help them thrive online. We follow the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the 13 Australian Privacy Principles. The details you share with us are something we are trusted to look after, not something we monetise.
What we collect
- Enquiry, audit and booking details you provide, your name, email, phone, website address and the context of your enquiry, when you request a website audit, use a contact form, or book a call via Calendly. You don't have to provide these to browse the site.
- Payment details when you purchase. Payments are processed securely by Stripe; we do not see or store your full card numbers.
- Conversations with our AI assistant, the messages you send, its replies, and the timestamp.
- Standard web analytics, page views, browser and device type, approximate country (from IP), and aggregate engagement. We do not link analytics to identifying details you share.
Using the site without giving us personal information
You can browse the site without giving us your name, email, or other identifying details. If you'd prefer to stay anonymous, simply don't submit a form or provide details when asked.
How we use what we collect
- To answer your questions and respond to enquiries, including preparing any website audit you request, and to provide the design services you ask us for.
- To process your order and manage our engagement with you.
- To improve our service. Where reviews include personal information, we treat it confidentially and limit access to those who need it.
- To follow up only if you've given us your details and asked us to. We don't add you to lists you didn't sign up for.
We do not use your data to train external AI models, and we do not sell your data to anyone, for any purpose.
Who processes the data
To run our service we use trusted third-party providers for hosting, our AI assistant, email, payments, scheduling and automation. Some of these providers are located outside Australia (primarily the United States). When your data is processed overseas, that provider operates under its own privacy policy and the laws that apply to it. We choose providers we consider reputable.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it beyond the infrastructure needed to deliver the service. For the specific list of providers we use, email hello@michaelle.com.au with the subject "Sub-processor list".
How we keep it safe
We use reasonable technical and operational measures to protect your data, including secure transport (HTTPS), access controls, and limiting who can view records. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting your information ever occurred, we would respond and notify you in line with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Australian Privacy Act.
Storage and retention
- Conversation transcripts are retained for a limited period, typically up to 90 days, then archived or deleted. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.
- Enquiry, audit, booking and customer records are retained while needed for the purpose you provided them or to meet our legal and tax obligations, and deleted on request where we are not required to keep them.
Your rights
- Access. Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Correction. Ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
- Deletion. Ask us to delete your data; we action this within 30 days unless we have a legal reason to retain it.
- Withdraw consent. Opt out of any marketing email with one click in its footer.
- Complain. Email us at hello@michaelle.com.au with the subject "Privacy complaint" and we will look into it and respond promptly.
To exercise any of these, email hello@michaelle.com.au with the subject "Privacy request".
Cookies and similar storage
- Web analytics may set cookies to measure page views and aggregate engagement. You can opt out via your browser settings or privacy tools.
- The chat assistant stores a short-lived session identifier in your browser to keep conversation context during your visit.
- We do not use third-party advertising or social-media tracking pixels on this site.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email hello@michaelle.com.au and we will delete it.
Updates to this notice
We update this notice when our practices change. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent change.
